Mariska read Social Psychology at the University of Amsterdam and was tempted to do a PhD in Decision Making Behaviour. In the end she turned to her true love - the Arts. Mariska is fully accredited in the UK to teach those over 16 and also lectures for NAFDAS (an arts education society, for whom she has lectured in the UK, Mainland Europe, New Zealand, and Australia), the New York Adventure Club, and as a lecturer for the public program at the Dulwich Picture Gallery in London.
Starting and running her own female led company she has often wished she could have relied on help from other women to guide her. She hopes that finding and joining PWN will give her the chance to open up this possibility to more women in London, to help and support each other, learn from each other and create a network of women to be there as and when needed!
